Not professional but great scans

20 years ago I was a professional photographer and needed to scan a lot of pictures. Colour, b/w and slides. I was looking for a scanner that could process images quickly and transfer them directly to my computer. I didn't want to take out the SD card, scan pictures onto it, keep them, and then transfer them to my computer. This little scanner gets the job done. It does not transfer directly to the computer, but has the option of allowing direct transfer via USB. That works fine. It's not a…

Very easy to use. Facilitates my digital transformation process.

A great product at a great price. I have several hundred 35mm slides that need to be converted to digital format. The adapter fits. Slide slides 1 through one at a time. Each subsequent slide aligns with the previous slide in the viewer. Click the button to copy and paste the next slide. The adapter will only fit 3 rails, so the 4th rail will push the first side out of the other side. If the slide image quality is good, it is a "click slide, click, click, click" operation. The built-in color…

Good enough for home use.

I have a few hundred old family slides that need digitizing and I took these; I made about 260 slides in the project after a few hours of work. TL; DR: Overall, this is a great tool for home use, but make it a habit to clean your lens more often than you think you need to. Mechanically it's easy. , similar to a (very) old slide projector where you push the slide from one side and the previous slide is pushed from the other side. It also has adapters for 135mm, 126mm and 110mm negatives…

Don't let the specs fool you 14/22 MP

Many here have already said that this scanner is not a professional tool. If you're scanning 110 or 126 film from an Instamatic camera of the day and don't want to make large prints, this scanner is probably fine. But if you're trying to save Grandpa's 35mm Kodachrome, this scanner doesn't do them justice. If you are making larger prints, the imperfections of this scanner may be visible in those prints. However, this thing is silly easy to use, pretty fast, and the build quality is pretty good.

LOVE this little scanner!

As a professional photographer and lab manager, I highly recommend this small desktop scanner. So many benefits, very few if any downsides for me. At work I have access to a fairly decent professional flatbed scanner that can handle transparencies, but work is work. I never find time to do my own scan. And it takes longer to set up a single scan than this little device. First, the footprint is perfect for my already cluttered desk. I keep the accessories for the small slider trays in a small…
