The brush has a large tip that prevents you from brushing something with a relatively small opening. If you bend the pear-shaped tip straight out, it has a hard metal end that can scratch what you're cleaning. This was useless to me as I had a specific item I needed to clean but had a small hole in it.

I originally used this to clean the lint filter in my dryer. It's stiff enough to apply some force and not deform. I love how easy it is to bend down to get to the areas you are trying to clean. I then used it on a 2 gallon bottle at my dog watering station. It has a flat square neck in the hole. I can eliminate all algae.

I wish I had read the reviews before buying this. It's not a brush. It's more like a mop, or a set of tiny mops squeezed together. To be fair, this works well for cleaning my Contigo water bottles and most tin cans, so it has its uses. I don't know if it can clean my small narrow-necked vases as the tip doesn't unwind. It didn't fit in my vinegar bottles so I'll have to buy something else for them.

I have used this tool on some hard to clean items and it did the job perfectly. I'm glad to see that this isn't a terry material that soaks up everything. These rubber growths allow you to clean hard-to-reach places without excessive pressure and without breaking. I see uses for this brush other than cleaning bottles or vases. When I saw this I thought it would be perfect for the bottles you never use because you know you will never clean them. It's really great for this purpose. BUT the twisted tip cannot be straightened. It's about 1 inch wide, flattened. So if you need it for a bottle with a very small neck, you can look at other brushes. The material is like foam. Small foam bristles. This is not a traditional cleaning brush although it looks like it in the photo. If you think it's made from the same materials and built like a standard sink brush or baby bottle brush, it's not. This brush is very hard and difficult to straighten after bending. The curl at the very tip of the brush could not be pierced by the neck of my magnificent cork decanter. It will probably be suitable for cleaning a decanter used for pouring wine.
