Worn after drilling 19 " in concrete

SDS impact drill for drilling holes in 4" thick concrete blocks. When I was halfway through the fifth hole the tips were dull and it would not move forward. At $1.50 an inch of material this allows me to drilling a hole, it's not worth the money.

Pros
  • โœฎ 3.75 Variable Pitch Hole Saw for fast, smooth cutting and longer hole saw life, chip holes make it easy to remove dowels.
Cons
  • Doubtful

I needed a 4-1/4" circle cut through two pieces of drywall so I could vent hot air. This cut isn't a problem. I'm not sure how hard it is is, you can punch drywall so it doesn't take long to get the job done, but I put in two good laps, no complaints.

Pros
  • โœฎ The 3.75 inch hole saw has a carbon steel body (with 8% cobalt) and high speed steel teeth for flexibility and durability.
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

It works perfectly

I bought a 4 1/8" hole saw to cut holes for 4" flush mount LED lights. Worked great! Today I cut 13 holes and no signs of dullness are visible. The tiered slots on the side are thoughtful as they provide a handy grip to insert a screwdriver to pry out the scrap. It also allows you to look inward to align the pilot drill. I have no criticism and nothing but praise. I've used it on plywood, but it will probably work just as well on drywall.

Pros
  • โœฎ They are primarily designed for housewives and DIY enthusiasts. For example, use it to cut small internal mounting holes in a gun case.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
