I usually use heavier ratchet mounts, but these mounts are so fast that I prefer them whenever possible. They are particularly well made with a very strong cam/buckle. The problem with most of these buckles is that the stated weight is based on the breaking strength of the strap, not the holding power of the buckle. These buckles are way better than most. And when you add a figure eight knot at the end, these ties reach their full strength. The figure eight is a boat knot that is easy to remove

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Fairly strong straps, much faster than light duty ratchet straps

These straps are much nicer than I expected and are great for attaching a tarp, small vehicles and others Fasten things quickly where I usually use ratchet straps. They are similar to NRS belts but are much cheaper. They have enough grip to hold a kayak or small raft and have a reinforced section where the clamp buckle is located. There are no snags on these straps, you simply place the strap on something strong, clip it into the buckle and pull to tighten. Simply push down to release. Overall…

Pros
  • High score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other straps

These 1" ties are very well made and attach securely to a quick release metal buckle. They have a working strength of 800lbs and a breaking strength of 1000lbs, which is best for heavy anchor work. The 16 foot length is a plus when covering a long deck pickup or for tall stacks or heavy loads. In addition to the traditional tie-down use, I've replaced my trailer ratchet mounts on my FXDL with these. Considering I'm 210 pounds, I can easily tighten those straps and compress the forks for towing.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
