Talentless for my son, he wasn't impressed

Expensive for what you get. My son has already opened 21 doors and is very disappointed with the variety of items. He's so jealous of the Playmobil advent calendar I got my daughter because she got tons of detailed replayable items. 4 of its doors were flags that no child would worry about. Just disappointed that the price was so much higher than the regular Lego advent calendar but it just had crappy stuff in it. But to be honest, I won't be buying any more Lego advent calendars. They are…

Maybe I'm missing some information, but.

So I'm admittedly new to the advent calendar tradition of getting married on Christmas Day. And if I'm missing information on how to present this as a gift full of 24 surprises, I'm very open to new ideas! Here's the thing: I ordered two and they looked like all LEGO sets - pictures of assembled toys on the outside of the box - or why I thought it was the outside of the box. But as I took a closer look, I realized the box is a calendar, and the pictures on the back and sides of the box…

    Add to collection!

Ordered about a month ago, received today. It's an advent calendar, but we opened it up like a regular Lego set. My 6 year old daughter loves it and I have also attached a picture with 4 images, 3 from my own set and then 1 from stock images. What you see in the photo is ALL you will get. Nothing is missing in this picture. Of course, just like a regular Lego set, you get extra pieces in case you lose something. (You can see the "add-ons" on the side of my 3rd picture of everything built). The…

Not recommended for children who rely on adult help to assemble LEGO.

I'm an older man who didn't have much experience with LEGO other than playing around with my son's 'free form' LEGO sets as a kid. However, being an avid Harry Potter fan and a kid at heart, I decided to order this HP advent calendar for my birthday. I decided to open all "windows" in the calendar at once instead of opening one every day, so for the last three days I've been collecting these LEGOs. The only guidance for this is the small images of assembled LEGOs found on the back of each…

Too similar to the Great Hall set. Thoughts about how it could be better.

I'm looking forward to the Lego Harry Potter advent calendar. I was looking forward to that. While there are some interesting and unusual items, too many of them are very similar to what we already got in the Great Hall - tables and benches, a fireplace, variations on the banners of the house, and the repetition particularly annoys me. McGonagall and Dumbledore figures. After all, the Great Hall is such an integral part of the new Lego Harry Potter series. I think most people willing to shell…
