Heavy duty product suitable for outdoor accessories

It worked well to replace the old plug on our horse trailer so we no longer need an adapter. As with other reviews, installation is an issue as the wire colors and connectors don't match, so it was all trial and error. This isn't the product's fault though, just a change in electrical standards over time, so I'm still giving 5 stars. Very hard work.

Excellent for the price. Quality exceeds expectations

Long cable bends well. The outer sheath of the wire is thick. The wires themselves are a good gauge with a strong auxiliary wire and a ground wire. Great for the battery powered winch on my trailer. I highly recommend using your multimeter freely to find the correct connector orientation color. Draw a diagram that corresponds to the color of the connector inputs. Take your time and check it out.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I left positive feedback at first because the wiring looks good and is of good quality. I was finally able to fully plug it in and it turned out that the yellow wire was dead or broken. I checked it with a continuity tester and I was right. I spent over an hour of my time fixing this cord and new outlet. What frustrates me is that I had to cut the shrink tubing and use a different wire because the yellow wire in this cable didn't work. After the bypass, my installation works, but everything…

Wire colors are not standard! This is a joke!?

Please someone slap my face! It would be better than buying this cable. I think I should have read all the reviews first before buying a cable made by people in China who appear to be color blind. What should have taken me 10 minutes to hook up my trailer took over an hour because almost none of the wire colors were standard. If you want to practice grouping swear words in a new and exciting way, be sure to buy this Flaming Hot Cat Poop 7-Pin Trailer Cord! Oh, and feel free to connect it with…

Good quality wrong wire color coding

So I added a trailer junction box to my 18" flatbed trailer so I can install an extra 4 pin connector so I can hook up the taillights on my Jeep to work with it to work the trailer lights for extra visibility when towing. I ordered this 7 pin connector to replace a trailer connector that I cut off to patch in the junction box. If you're unfamiliar with these boxes, each pin is clearly labeled which wire and which color wire goes where. For example, white is always grounded. All white ground…
