Removes Spark Plug Wire Boots from Plugs. A simple, yet effective tool for disengaging spark plug boots. Tool performs well in difficult areas such as recessed and obstructed plugs. Square shaft prevents slipping. Thick plastic handle prevents electric shock and provides greater pulling power.

Lisle tool, that's rubbish!

While this tool has a lot of potential and can generally work well, it's too cheaply made. During the first use, I was able to loosen the first 4 plug wires on my 6-cylinder Explorer by gently pulling, but the metal shaft of the tool detached from the plastic handle on the fifth wire sheath. Upon examining the shank of the tool, it could be seen that the end that was in the handle was not flattened or turned to prevent it from being pulled out of the molded body. Reaches where your pliers can't and removes wires without damage. Shazam!

This purchase should have been made many years ago. With more and more new cars using Coil-On-Plug (COP), this tool isn't that important. But for old cars with plugs and plug wires, it is indispensable. I just did spark plugs on a Ford 4.0L SOHC. PITA for passenger side connector access, but the puller worked fine on two of the three connector wires. Used 90 degree needle nose pliers to remove the third. Two of the three on the driver's side also jump out immediately, while the third is impeded
