I moved from California to Minnesota with 2 cats and drove 9-11 hours a day for 4 days. That was great! They fit in their cages, never lick and I ended up only needing 1 per cat for the entire trip. One of my cats is huge so I was worried about her size but everything was fine.

I use disposable trays as liners for a large closed box. I usually use the Nature's Miracle brand, but these are hard to find. They're a little larger than Nature's Miracle and a little thicker so they're a little heavier to fit in the tray I'm using, but that's probably a plus for most people as they're meant to be used as a standalone filler. Boxes, no inserts.

Works well as my cat can pee in these bins. My problem is that my cat is about a year old and is used to large litter boxes. Sometimes when using this tray, he misses and lands right outside the container. Overall I'm happy with my purchase as it hasn't leaked during use and can just be thrown in the trash after I'm done with it.

There are some great disposable trays out there. I first bought them to make it easier to clean the drawer after surgery when I couldn't bend down. But they are so good that I will continue to use them. I use them in my large hooded tray and throw out the disposable once a week. These disposable dice are really strong and durable. One-handed litter box replacement. The material keeps all the moisture and odor, so when you change your small box, there is no odor left behind. My cats have covered small boxes that are very large. I put Johnny's cat sack on the floor, then put one of those bowls in, and then filled the bowl 1/3 full with litter. I got these when we were on holiday so the cats had extra boxes in case the sitter couldn't walk every day. I have non-clumping pine pellets and they work great as only lining or sawdust needs to be removed. I read a review on the regular clumping litter that said the rough bottom is difficult to scoop. I spotted a version of Nature's Miracle at a pet store just before I moved from a huge house to a mid-size condo that doesn't have a laundry room or open area for washing trays.
