Makes the floor danceable.

Used for dancing on a hard tile floor tonight which is usually damp and sticky. She sprinkled some on the floor in the corner of the room and slapped it with her shoes. Worked great. Your knees will no longer be strained when trying to twist your legs on a sticky floor. Haven't tried it on a shuffleboard yet, but it will probably do.

  • Wide range
Cons

Dance wax with label, it's not dance wax, it's shuffleboard wax.

This product looks more like a shuffleboard wax than a dance wax. We tried it on the dance floors and it was so slippery that we had to remove it from the dance floor or someone might fall. I always buy dance wax, but I wanted to try this one. It is not considered dance wax. There's a difference. They do not accept returns.

Great for the sticky dance floor.

We dance 6 months a year in an old grand ballroom with a beautiful wooden dance floor and 6 months a year on a small wooden dance floor in a country club with orchestra. A week later the bottom of the latter was washed with something that made it sticky. All shoes stuck to the floor, did not slip. I ordered this wax powder and it solved the problem. We didn't ask the management, we just splashed on the floor and danced.

Great for dancing: Floor Cleaner

I am buying this wax for myself and as a gift for my dancing friends. Just a little oil on the soles of your shoes will make ballroom dancing more fluid. I bring a small amount of wax to each dance in a 3" pill bag, sprinkle it on the floor under our table (avoid server walkways and common areas as the floor gets very slippery), and load it up every few dances. Only use it on the front of your shoe to keep your heel effective as a "brake". I dance two nights a week and one can lasts a year or…

Alternate Use

We have just installed a new vinyl floor and have been looking for ANYTHING that will help our chairs slide. Teflon gliders, felt gliders, magic gliders, self-levelling gliders, soap, candle wax - nothing helped. Thought it might work as the label warns against being posted in traffic areas and that it should be used sparingly. This didn't work either. I think it has cornmeal in it or something that makes a grating sound rather than a smooth glide. So cross it off your list of ideas. Return to…

Bought for dancing works well only needs a small amount

This wax works well. It's a little different from other dance waxes I've used before, it's similar in texture and color to fine cornmeal but works well. I bought it because it was cheaper than other waxes. You only need a small amount (a small amount really, it can get slippery). I'm a country dancer (pairs and line dancing) and need to be able to slide on the floor and move around a bit. Where I go the floors can be sticky with people spilling their drinks etc. I take a small amount in a…

Good product but use sparingly!

The product arrived a day earlier than expected. We have used dance wax for many years but have never used this brand before. This wax was much more "slippery" than expensively bought dancing wax. It was used on a linoleum dance floor and we had to use about a third of the amount we used. At first the couples slipped during the dance, but after the dance wax spread evenly, everything was fine. It lasted the entire dance and didn't need to be reapplied. Women liked that there was NO powder left…
