I didn't like the volume control because it's not there (and it's on the laptop). I didn't rate gaming because I don't use it for that. This is a very small profile and comes with a plastic cap to protect it. Ideal for stowing in your laptop bag. It works - don't know why some reviewers had issues.

My laptop's mic jack stopped working and I didn't have USB headphones, but I did have 2 or 3 headphones with a 3.5mm jack. So instead of buying a new headset, I booted this one up. The best solution. You just plug it in in about 20 seconds (the computer will recognize the hardware) and it's ready to use. Requires no configuration or modification.

I received this because I work from home with an old laptop that our IT department gave me as a present and which has separate microphone and headphone jacks. I don't use it for anything other than a phone. I don't know about these connectors but the IT guy told me I need a connector like the one in the picture to make it work. Too bad I didn't buy it sooner, hunched over the laptop for almost 1.5 months and yelling into it was stupid.

I bought a pair of Corsair HS50 Pro headphones to use with my PS4 and with this adapter I was able to pair them perfectly with my PC use. This adapter should work with any headset with a headphone and microphone, but only with a 3.5mm plug. No drivers required, worked once I connected everything on Windows 10. Unobtrusive!

I spent most of Friday most of Friday getting this thing to do what I bought it to do (music from Port Studio on to move laptop) without success . Very unpleasant transaction (the first one was sent to the wrong address). I put one star because I couldn't put less!
