Description of Maxima CS56916-12PK 15WT Standard Hydraulic Fork Oil - 16 oz., (Case of 12) - Improved SEO

Maxima fork oils are formulated from the highest quality base oils and advanced additives to prevent foaming, seal hardening, oxidation and “stiction”. Lubricinol provides for very low sliding friction and protects internal components from wear. Temperature stable viscosity provides for constant fork action and terrain compliance for the front wheel. For all front suspension systems, both standard and cartridge. 5WT fork oil is normal service weight for MX applications, can be blended for intermediate viscosities.

Perfect for servicing MTB forks.

Perfect for servicing the shin forks on my mountain bike and a lot cheaper than buying bike fork oil. It's essentially the same, but it costs a lot more! Make sure you check your fork specs for the right weight and amount, and do a little research yourself to make sure this option is right for your use (forums, etc.). I also ordered some cheap nozzle kits which also helped. If you can get them with rubber hose ends, that's better.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Fits

Worked perfectly for me!

Considering this is my first time using fork oil I really have no comparison. Put progressive fork springs on my KLR 650 and it was the cheapest 15w fork oil on Revain. . It seemed normal and there were no problems. I've only ridden the bike about 50 miles since changing the springs and oil, but I can say it's a lot better than what it came from the factory. I went with the 15w as I weigh about 265 and wanted a slightly heavier oil than the stock 10w.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some flaws

Required investment when upgrading fork springs

My 92ft Nighthawk 750 has progressive springs and I needed a heavier oil to increase damping combined with a higher spring rate. This fork oil helped and appears to be of very high quality. This oil is clear so it's easier to see how dirty it is and probably contains additives specifically designed for forks. I used to use ATF, which is about 10w oil, but I feel better about making oil specifically for fork use, although I doubt there's a noticeable difference.

Pros
  • This is amazing

My fork is plush again!

I just serviced the fork on my bike last night and with new oil it looks smooth and soft. Can't wait to hit the road and see how it works. I read some reviews on other forums and ended up buying this Sram/Rockshox fork oil. It was cheaper and from what I've read it's the same! Just compare two bottles. Same shape, same M logo on the bottle, just with a different label and better price. If you service your own forks, use this branded stuff if you want to save a few bucks.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
