I had to buy these adapters for my son's Wii which doesn't have built in controller ports so he can play a Mario game with a Gamecube controller (can't me remember name). The adapters work great and he says the adapters are great. In my home, this means it works as it should every time. Great product and a real money saver compared to trying to find and buy a Wii that supports the Gamecube controller.

So we used this for my daughter's DDR playmat which we bought from Revain and the Wii DDR game. You plug the mat into this adapter that connects to the Wii remote and you're done. I would say if you bought another pad you could probably use both and have 2. It took me a minute to figure out that every time you play you have to go into DDR's song menu and turn off the hand markers as you can't do that since your Wiimote is connected.

Works great! My brother wanted to play Mario Kart Wii on my Wii U for nostalgia, but the Smash Bros. Nintendo's GameCube didn't work. However, if you connect it to the Wii Remote and then the GameCube controller, it will work in Wii mode. So if you have a Wii U or Wii Mini, you can definitely use them to continue playing with GameCube controllers for Wii games that support them, like Smash Bros. Brawl or Mario Kart Wii.

They seemed to work with nostalgic games on my Wii U but when I tried it on my Wii it didn't work with my GameCube games.
