Worked great except it collided with the trim

Was pretty solid compared to kits I've used in the past. The only negative I found was that the final product interfered a bit with the bezel that ran around the stereo in my 99 Buick Park Avenue. I couldn't get them all the way in. It's ok as I will be upgrading to a double din soon. However, this may require some modifications to work with your setup.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No mold required

Doesn't fit Kenwood ECUs

Even though the specs say it will fit Kenwood receivers you have to grind the bezel so much it looks horrible. So I ordered a Scosche GM1583B even though Amazon's search function said it didn't fit my 2003 Grand AM GT, but when you use the search function on the Scosche website it says it does. I installed my Kenwood in a Scosche GM1583B and it fits perfectly in my Grand AM GT so I recommend using a Scosche GM1583B instead.

  • Same as everything before

Perfect for my 2006 GMC Sierra

Installed in my 2006 GMC Sierra (no Bose audio system, no steering wheel controls). Great fit. Nice clean facility. It's nice to have a small closet again. My single din radio bolts directly to it. I did not use any of the adapters or cages/mounts that came with the radio itself. From what I recall I had to go to a hardware store to buy screws (but this is specific to the radio you are installing as the length of the screw and thread is required so I can see why they are not included are kit)…

If you are not sure if this will fit do not buy

This is perfect for my needs but I have read so many reviews on here criticizing that they don't fit. Maybe you just didn't look closely enough because GM has many stereo variations in car models and it doesn't fit all variations in one model. My machine was pretty basic as it only had two choices and each choice had a variation. It still fits all four possibilities. Now I've installed this on trucks and one fits and the other because the surveillance system completely changed the position of…

Works Good 04 Tahoe

Just used this in my 04 Tahoe to install an old Eclipse single din radio. To be honest, for the first 2 minutes I thought the negative reviews were true and the radio just didn't fit. Then I found that a bare head unit (no grommet etc.) is inserted from the back of the bracket and then the side brackets of this kit screw onto the head unit to hold it. Instead of inserting the radio from the front as usual and then fixing it with the factory radio cover. Overall, this is one of the best options…

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Not Bad

Great set. In my 5 years as a mobile audio installer I have installed hundreds of them. It fits all single DIN radios, despite some claims. With this kit, do not use the cage/metal grommet or plastic trim ring that comes with the radio. You throw them away and instead use the ISO screws that came with the radio and bolt the radio onto the brackets on the left and right of this kit. They have an adjustment so you slide the radio all the way to the back of the kit, make sure it's straight and…

Looks Factory Solid One Piece Kit

Great kit for a 2003 Silverado. Didn't have to be trimmed for my Pioneer MVH-291BT. The head was very comfortable in this instrument kit. I particularly liked the one-piece construction of this instrument kit. Fits seamlessly into the double hole. Looks factory. The Scosche dash kit I bought previously was more expensive and had a lot of gaps. The only thing I didn't like was that the CD tray has two holes on the back and bottom. If you keep a small item less than 1/2 inch in size, you can lose
