Mineral Oil for Skin Care – Texture Matters!

I'm a big fan of mineral oil for skin care. I've been using it on my dry skin on my shins after my shower for over a decade after getting tired of the constant flaking. Now I use it with my child. I love this oil because it's thinner and spreads faster, which is better when you're struggling with a baby. Unscented baby oils are not available so I was very happy to find this.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Wow. Worked wonders on a teak kitchen counter.

He does amazing things with teak! We have a very old teak kitchen table and the poor table had lost most of its paint and had very visible water stains and such. This oil and some paper towels made the table look amazing. And it's certainly easy enough to look like this weekly or touch up as needed. I bought it for a cutting board and it certainly works well on it too.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Safe for food prep areas and safe for nose and skin.

I bought this to seal a raw Parawood table that will serve as the cooking and mixing center in my kitchen. It's so nice not having to deal with oil based seal fumes and the oil leaves my hands nice and soft. It brings out the wonderful texture of the wood. Delivery was quick and it arrived in great condition. The price was good and I'm a happy backpacker. diluted with water! suitable for polishing and wood maintenance

I have been using mineral oil for various woodwork for many years, I tried this brand because it was relatively cheap. Cheap is what you get with this brand. Unlike most mineral oils, the consistency of this oil was runny and almost water-like. I went ahead and used it on my freshly sanded Live Edge Slab countertop and the next day it actually had water spots! This wood I applied it to had no access to water or dust, but it still dried like it was raining on it. This has never happened to me on

Pros
  • Excellent general performance
Cons
  • Doubt

I have cast iron, wooden cutting boards, stainless steel and dry hands. What does all this have in common? You need mineral oil. This large plastic jar holds 32 ounces so it will last me at least a year. It is odorless, transparent and easy to apply. I use mineral oil to polish my stainless steel appliances and it leaves them streak free and shiny with no stickiness. To freshen up my old cast iron, I would put it in my hot pans and rub it into the surface. It didn't smoke and didn't discolour…
