I bought 2 packs of 12" fans in April 2019. I installed them in May 2019 and in January 2020 one of them was out of order. The working fan can by hand It can be rotated and rotates almost 360° until it stops. A failed fan can be moved but it does not rotate. I suspect the bearings or bushings are rotating. One of the main problems in many of these reviews is the lack of a description of the application. I received and installed a 16" fan kit. them on my 1980 Ford Bronco with a 5.0 liter V8 engine. The fan covers about 70% of the heatsink and I am currently NOT using a fan shroud. Installed with a relay to turn on and off when the car is running, as well as a manual switch to turn off the fan to make the car warm up faster.
