Not 300w but still bright enough

As others have noted with this particular light it's not 300w. The attached photo shows that when connected to a 13.26v power supply the output is 38.5W. That's a far cry from the advertised 300 watts. It's bright enough, bright enough for my intended use, I just wish these things were advertised with accurate specs. Outside the photo frame was a multimeter, which also confirmed that the voltage and current readings were correct.

Pros
  • nice stuff
Cons
  • easy serviceability

Excessive power consumption but still bright enough

The input current draw is 5A at 13.5V DC. That's nowhere near the advertised 240 watts (which is good as the cord would be too small and put too much strain on your alternator). There's no way to measure the intensity of the light, but I think that's overkill too. So tomorrow he'll be driving the tractor and until next spring he'll be training to clear snow. I got the amber on a whim as there is no benefit in mounting them on the ROP above my head.

  • Absolutely amazing!

NOT 300W! lumens = ?

Yes, mostly bright --- BUT Volts x Amps = Watts That's the math, dividing 300 watts by 12 volts gives you 150 amps. That's enough for welding. I hooked them up to a 12 volt battery and they only draw 4.25 amps. That's 51 watts! not 300 watts Since I'm using a battery and solar panel to light up a remote warehouse I'm glad they only draw 4.25 amps. I need the batteries to last a few hours and I'm putting in a lot more too. The seller may paraphrase to say that 300 watts is equivalent lumens in…

Very bright: accent and off-road lighting

I was a little hesitant to order something this cheap because you usually get what you pay for. Installation was very easy and matched perfectly with the Nilight wiring harness. I haven't had a chance to see it at night yet, but this 12-inch bar is definitely brighter than I thought it would be. doesn't give much light at night. I expected this flood/spot light to provide enough illumination, but it doesn't. During the day, however, bright for oncoming traffic. The update will be updated as…

Do not buy this light bar! . TO UPDATE! . FIRE HAZARD!

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They don't have a phone number, the number you call is a warehouse and they said customer service is overseas and you can't speak to them. You have to email them. emailed them saying they refused to reply despite 10 emails! They told me to use a 10 amp fuse but 300 watts would draw 25 amps according to Ohm's law which governs all electrical principles. The power wires are 22 gauge wire that cannot handle 25 amps, they will…

Great buy for the price

Bought 2 of these when they were on sale for the low price of $20 for my 01 Ranger. I am very happy with my purchase. These things are bright! They diffuse the light very well, completely darken the headlights. I think they have more options to flood than mock. They have been in the water a few times and so far so good but the cups seem to have a bit of moisture on the 1 light strip that is barely visible on the left. This was the first time they had been exposed to water and have not had any…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

I bought this last week with a Nilight wiring harness and just finished installing it on my 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i. Here are my notes: 1. The fixture has good build quality. The aluminum body, reflector, front cover are all quite beautiful.2. The wiring harness is everything and sufficiently long.3. Breaking through the firewall turned out to be a little easier than expected. Just above the accelerator pedal is a large bushing with a pre-punched hole in the insulation. It's easy to cut a…
