Description of 🚲 RCV Presta Valve Stems by OrangeSealCycling

Tapered base prevents the valve stem from pulling through the rim hole. Each stem includes a lock nut and cap. Stem is threaded in its entirety which accommodates a wide range of rim thicknesses.

Although some have complained about the design of this valve I think it is an improvement over the Stans product. I had an issue with the sealant preventing the valve from releasing air to set the pressure. The valve with the orange seal looks larger and sits over the inside of the rim to prevent the sealant from leaking out of the valve. I'm not sure if this was accidental or intentional, but it works better so far.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Operating speed

Best Aftermarket Tubeless Presta Valves

In my opinion the best tubeless valves on the aftermarket. I ran a tubeless Konversation with my HED Jet 4 road wheelset and it worked great. I like the o-rings on both sides, especially on the outside as they protect the carbon fairing from the metal compression ring. The only thing to be careful of is not to over tighten the valve as the rubber valve is quite soft on the inside and can be pulled in and jammed in the rim.

Pros
  • Pretty Packaging
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

I upgraded my bike and my wife's bike to tubeless. They didn't have stans so I bought a pair of these and a pair of stans. OrangeSeal with O-rings costs nothing. The slightest sideways pressure on the shaft will simply compress the o-ring and allow the air to escape. Simply tightening the nut compresses the o-rings so much that they deform. The simple fact that you include o-rings should indicate that they have a design flaw. In comparison, grinders do not require O-rings as the rubber base is…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Frequency
