I didn't know what I was missing.

I had occasional crashes until finally my device just stopped working. Problem? Bad RAM module. Also, it eventually stopped working when the second RAM module died. With the project deadline approaching, I didn't have time to set up a brand new machine, so I had only one choice: overhaul. My machine started out with 4G - it wasn't enough for software development, not to mention a lot of other things (yay, memory leak). !). The failed modules were an upgrade to 8Gb/c at a time when my machine…

16GB kit breathed new life into the Mac Mini in mid-2010; Works great

Bought for a memory upgrade on my Mac Mini in mid 2010. Even though the specs officially say it only supports 8GB of RAM, with the EFI update everyone should have it, even if they makes a halfhearted attempt to update the software on their Mac Mini, it can support 16GB of RAM. and it worked flawlessly. I'll also say I thought about saving up and getting 8GB, but I'm glad I paid the extra for 16GB. When I looked at the memory used, it was already over 8GB (yes, I understand that OS X has its own

Everything has been good so far in the computer components section

I bought another brand for $50 which made my computer beep when I updated software. I decided not to keep that brand and stop with the one I was familiar with. I have used Crucial before and OWC is also well known in my book. So far it seems like I have less of a spinning beach ball and I haven't heard the beep yet. I'll update this review if it turns out to be bad, but so far so good. Bought it for a 13" MacBook Pro mid 2010. I replaced the battery, replaced the 250GB HDD with a 1TB SSD. It…

Brought my 2010 MacBook 7.1 back to life

I ordered this ram stick set to try and upgrade a 2010 MacBook 7.1 that I got from Ebay. Apple says this MacBook only supports 8GB of RAM, but after doing a little research I found out that this MacBook supports up to 16GB of RAM. I ordered these 2 sticks of 8GB and put them in my MacBook and it made a huge difference. This RAM upgrade has breathed new life into this MacBook along with a new battery and a new SSD hard drive. It's MUCH faster with updates running macOS Mojave (yes, it works with
