I had occasional crashes until finally my device just stopped working. Problem? Bad RAM module. Also, it eventually stopped working when the second RAM module died. With the project deadline approaching, I didn't have time to set up a brand new machine, so I had only one choice: overhaul. My machine started out with 4G - it wasn't enough for software development, not to mention a lot of other things (yay, memory leak). !). The failed modules were an upgrade to 8Gb/c at a time when my machine (mainly due to the OS) was no longer supporting it (I know, I learned it the hard way first). I was so happy that it was supported by my particular Mac that I did a little research to back up the claim and took the plunge. I didn't know what I was missing. Thanks to these RAM modules, my machine works like new again! 16G in a late 2009 Macbook and it flies! No more lags, programs open quickly, hibernation is almost instantaneous, and launching web servers or larger development applications is many times faster than before! Do your research, check Apple Support using your *serial number*, not just your model, and search other websites with that information to ensure compatibility. I hope you find that your device is supported and enjoy the performance as much as I do.
