Great Box Electronics

This was my first Raid@home. I bought two new Seagate 4K hard drives and tried a different brand. It was cheaper and felt better. The case was plastic with a wall wart for food. I never got it to work in Raid 1 and it only worked in JBOD for a while before I started having problems with it. Revain had one of these as a repair and the cost was the same as the other box. I jumped on it and couldn't be happier. The box is well made and makes a solid impression. The hard drive is easy to assembleโ€ฆ

  • Keep my fists thin

Fits directly into existing Intel RAID sets!

I originally ordered this when my workstation motherboard burned out to format a couple of rebuilt internal drives from a mirrored RAID array I was using and just off a separate online restore backup. When I put these drives into a small Mobius 2C (already configured for RAID1) instead, the existing partition mounted without issue. Fiction! Let's see how it holds up over the long term, but the stock is up. I know USB-C will be a bit slower than the onboard SATA RAID, but it's fast enough for my

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Blunt hardware

Great new Model 2 drive enclosure from the already solid Mobius line

"with built-in RAID) and needed something smaller for two 4TB drives Me Haven't used the built in RAID function on this unit but have never had a problem with it on their other models Highlights include USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gb/s) ports and the SATA III drive connection performance is quite quiet (quiet fan hum but I don't hear any drive activity like other cases and docks) and a no-fuss drive sleep feature built in. I've been using it on my Mac Pro 2012 tower for over 6 months now and no issuesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Includes USB-C hub for daisy chaining or additional USB devices
Cons
  • Minor issues
