Is that junk or fake? High failure rate after only 20-30 cycles

I was trying to standardize on what I thought were high quality Panasonic OneLoop Pro AA batteries. They cost more, but the features and quality were worth it, at least I thought so. The fact is that after a few years of minor use in various applications (soap dispensers, game console controllers, LED lights), they have about 50% failure. I'm talking less than 20 cycles. They don't charge in the Panasonic charger designed for these batteries and when tested with a better charger it says "High"…

Disappointing performance

I bought these batteries because I was looking for the best rechargeable AA batteries for my flashlight at my job as a security guard. I chose these because the product description advertised them as high capacity batteries that are ideal for high output devices and low temperatures down to 4 degrees Fahrenheit. me. Be careful when using in underwater strobe / sealed compartment

Pros: Holds a charge for a stable strobe, I can take about 500 shots with it. I don't have to change the batteries in my strobe between dives. The Bad: The documentation for these batteries clearly states that they are not rated for underwater flashes, especially in enclosed and watertight areas. These batteries emit hydrogen, and sealed devices cannot disperse the gas, so the compartment becomes pressurized. The battery can explode, leaving brown goo in the flash.
