I ordered these for my daughter's first birthday to save on plastic and be more eco-friendly; and I'll probably order another set or so to have at home. As several other reviewers have said, some have DO shards. This wasn't a problem for me as I only occasionally picked up shards with tweezers when making dishes for the party.
