I have been shaving traditionally with a razor and shaving cream for 45 years. Close shave, but time consuming. A few years ago I decided to switch to stubble. It was great not to shave for two or three days. I bought a Remington F5-5800 foil razor to use in place of wet shaving whenever I had the opportunity to get a close shave. Smooth, quiet and works well. The only complaint is that the shaver uses poor quality shaving heads from the start. Therefore they don't have jagged edges, I'm sure this is intentional. After about a week, the round shaving heads start rotating with the blades one after the other and don't stop. It makes an awful sound like you're about to run a buzzing gaming razor across your face. If the shave hadn't convinced me in the first week, I would have sent it back. I've had it for a month now. This is the best razor I've ever had, my last one was from the 80's so it's really good. It took me a while to get used to shaving, which was worth it. My neck burned so I use it after shaving which helped a lot. I mostly use dry. It's also easy to clean, push the button and it opens. It is on the hinge side where the head stays while cleaning. I have to shave about every 3 days.

Of course I've been using my old Norelco for much longer than I should have. But the new models were more expensive and larger, and I really liked the old ones. But eventually it wore out and I couldn't replace the worn part so I bought this one. Wow! It has all the features I loved on the previous model and I was *surprised* at how much better the shave was. I can shave about twice as fast in the morning. To be honest, I can't get a good shave with any electric shaver. In fact, I had to switch to a blade at work because I had never been clean shaved with an electric razor. I have tried Brown, Remington and others to no avail. I've had a Norelco for a while and it was pretty good, but nowhere near as good as a Blade.
