Perfect brush wash

I love pink soap for washing brushes after painting with acrylic paint. I also blot the ends to condition and shape my brushes after they're clean. I've been using this brand for many years and I think it's good value for money. It can also remove oil paint if the brush is not hardened.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Long wait

It washes acrylic off my brushes

Smells good and easy to use. It washes acrylic off my brushes fairly well, but enamel acrylic takes longer and sometimes takes two strokes to completely remove. He also conditions his brushes well. Would recommend to anyone using acrylic paint.

This is the best product for housewares

I use pink soap to clean up after oil painting. It works better and faster than anything I've used before and is easy to apply as it's quite soft for such a potent product. He smells good too. Oil paints simply melt, even when dry or stuck to the skin. When I'm in the studio I manage to splatter myself with paint, so Pink Soap saves my life. I will never use anything else.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Ideal for watercolor and acrylic.

Another reviewer mentioned that they put some of that soap on the tip to keep the paint from getting in. That's great advice! This created a barrier that kept the tip clean. It also cleans the stubble very well. I've even used it to clean up a screenprint vinyl stencil after applying acrylic paint to it. Would highly recommend and will buy again.

Not as good as Masters

I'm an oil painter and I usually use Master's Brush Cleaner and Preserver or curd soap but decided to give it a try. It almost doesn't work the same. I keep going back to clean the brushes after they dry because they are still tough. I made several attempts and then finally returned to the master. This might work for acrylics, but if you're painting in oils I wouldn't waste time with it. Save yourself the hassle and just buy Masters or cottage cheese soap.

  • Worth the money

Great product, poor quality control

First of all, this product looks really fantastic. I used it once to remove the glue on my new brushes. It smelled great, foamed well and did the job perfectly. However, the company needs to do extra quality control as the cap on my bottle was not fully closed and at least 1/8 of the bottle leaked into the packaging. . Not a big deal as it was sealed in plastic wrap before being placed in the box. I just made a mess to clean up before I could even use it. The inner seal is ideal for preventing…

All hope for my hard brushes was lost until I got the pink soap

Ok where do I start. I haven't washed my brushes in months, some in over a year. I know. i am an animal In any case. The oil paint came IMMEDIATELY. I dropped it on a brush I hadn't touched in months and most of it dripped right away. However, my acrylic brushes were more stubborn as I hadn't cleaned them in over a year. and acrylic is no joke. Oops. despite taking so long to wash off the acrylic most of it has fallen off! I expected these children to be dead and gone, but hope remained! Will…

Does the job and more!

I occasionally get carried away and usually use acrylic paints to personalize figurines, dolls, doll accessories and miniatures. I have used several other well known brands of brush cleaners in the past and they have been adequate. But this is different! I got interrupted on my last project and then forgot to clean up. I had a brush with dried black acrylic paint and thought it was definitely damaged. I decided to test the cleaner and it really saved the brush. I had to use some elbow grease…

Great brush cleaner! Removes plaster without flushing the sink!

Disclaimer: I'm a caricaturist (almost 10 years) and I don't work in oil, just acrylic and watercolor. And I often use plaster of paris to prep the pages of my art magazine, but I don't wash my plaster of paris brushes in the sink because it will eventually clog the pipes! I only bought this product to get the cast out of my brush and it works great for that. What I do is I have a brush that is used exclusively for gesso. I keep 2 wide-necked glasses (old pickle jars) and a pitcher of water…
