Well made tool but doesn't fit my fuel line and filter port.

The space between the fuel filter and the fuel line fitting on my 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis is too narrow for this tool. There was enough space to use it in my situation. I would give five stars if I could use it.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Lightly dented

Didn't work with GM fuel pump

I bought this tool before replacing the fuel pump on my Silverado. Several repair sources I found said that GM uses a quick disconnect on the fuel pump, so I bought it only to find that the pump has a plastic plug in the line that this tool will not fit through. It seems like a quality tool, but in my case a flathead screwdriver did the job.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • weak

Works as described for both gas lines and transfer lines

I used this tool to remove both the gas lines from the fuel tank and the transfer lines that connect to the radiator. The tool is much more useful than plastic blocks that break easily. I doubt it will hold up to everyday use in the workshop, but for occasional use by the DIY enthusiast it will do.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

Stronger than plastic versions, works as intended

I have used this tool to disconnect fuel lines on several Ford vehicles and it worked exactly as it should. Although stronger than the plastic versions of this tool, I felt it wasn't heavy enough to withstand everyday use in a repair shop. However, for mechanical home use, I would definitely spend the extra money on it and ditch the plastic ones.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Some Errors

But this one, don't buy the plastic!

I used this to remove the transmission lines from the transmission cooler on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 (ie 3rd Gen Ram) and it worked great. I bought a plastic one and the lip warped immediately as my lines were a bit corroded from years of driving on very salty winter roads. It's made of aluminum and has an elastic band to keep it on the line. Great tool!

Pros
  • This is amazing
