Having trouble choosing a size? Read it!

I had an old Pegasus brand sink plug with a 18mm (0.71 inch) ball that rusted and broke off at the tip. It wasn't an exact game, but I went for the "sleeves" you see on either side of the ball. This part has a 15mm ball with 18mm bushings. If you need a smaller ball, you can remove the bushings and use them as an exact replacement. Works for 1/5 the price

My 2 year old sink plug has rusted through and needs replacing. All other options included all plumbing tubing and a plug that is not needed. I don't like throwing away new parts and replacing all the tubes wasn't a wise decision back then. This pole gets the job done and costs about 1/5 the building cost available here and locally. They finally work with something crafty

I don't know what happened in the plumbing world but sometime in early 2020 I couldn't find a replacement ball big enough to fit. The universal sets with balls of different sizes were also too small and leaking. I risked this detail and here are my findings: The ball in this kit is too small for my gutter (a house built in the USA in 1994) but this kit comes with 2 washers, they are concave to fit on to pass the ball on one side and flat with the other.
