Description of 100 Phillips Drywall Screws by Prime Line - MPSC7849

Do not use a drill driver with setting on maximum torq as it can snap the head. Designed for use with drywall/sheetrock/wallboard installations, but used as a multipurpose fastener for a variety of projects. Screw size is #6 x 2-in. with coarse Thread and bugle head style. These fasteners are black in color with a phosphate plated finish. Metal constructed fasteners. Phillips drive with flat head and sharp easy-start points. Slim. Cheap. Only half a pound. Not 100pcs

I decided to save a few bucks over the hardware store but was disappointed. The screws are very thin and the whole package weighs only 0.5 pounds compared to the hardware store where you buy 1 pound for $6. It's funny too, but being in self-isolation during the virus, I had the patience to count them: it's not 100, it's 97 screws. Even though I bought it on Prime, it's too cheap and not worth returning. I will use it but will never buy it again.

Works well with a screwdriver

Good price even for inexperienced people. I didn't use a cordless screwdriver, just screwed it into the wall by hand. It worked perfectly three times. The third time I tried 2 login attempts but nothing. I think I screwed the bolt in and just didn't have the arm strength to screw it in further by hand. That's my guess. They're a little wobbly. Even though I was just inserting them they started to move a bit when I rotated them but none of the tips came loose as others have said. My shelves are…

Poor quality - believe it or not.

First of all I can't believe you can have something like a poor quality drywall screw but that's about it. If you plan on using them for simple, low-level projects and with very, very soft wood, you're fine. I pre-drilled the holes (using pine, not hardwood), set the torque to mid-point, and still snapped off the screw heads. My son noticed that the heads do not match the screw shank.
