Would love to see a better instruction manual and definitely will.

Would love to see a better instruction manual and would definitely like to see an additional 12" of wire on each leg as you will likely need extra length to get around obstacles when replacing an old panel. I really hope you read this progressive speaker! You must label your wires properly as it is your responsibility to label 12v branches as 120v branches. If I'm not knowledgeable on this area I might stop the pacemaker. Also 14AWG is good for 20A on the 12V side but it's fine a 30A panel? How

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Damaged

I asked the RV dealer/repair shop to install it for me in February. It worked fine but the camper never went online to recharge the dead batteries until today. After 4 hours of charging I unplugged it and the green light inside went out. All internal electronics are disabled. After that I used the charger to charge each battery separately. They were at 1% when I started and I've taken them to 80%. The camper still has no power. I checked all the fuses and they were all fine. Reverse Breakers. ?

Great to fix Magnetek 6332 series

My Magnetek 6332 converter took 27 years but finally died. So far, this new converter has worked flawlessly. Fits perfectly. Smart charges the house battery (flooded) which the old converter couldn't do. If I ever want to upgrade home batteries, the converter can charge lithium with a jumper to change the charge profile from flooded/AGM to lithium. It's very quiet. I don't think I've ever heard any fan noise coming out of the converter, which strikes me as odd as the old fan was noisy. The swap

A great update for an outdated converter plus additional features.

I had a buzzing noise on the radio while using my home network. With DC there are no problems. So I suspect the problem with the ground loop. I didn't want to create a capacitive circuit or look for some sort of RF filtering device. My local trailer dealer told me about Progressive Dynamics and suggested I replace my old Magnetek with this one I bought. He found the part I needed and told me to buy it from Revain because it was cheaper than its price. Incredibly, he didn't mind losing $85โ€ฆ

Wow. What a huge improvement over my old Magnatek 6332!

This item works exactly as advertised and is easy to install. It charges my batteries much, much faster than the archaic piece of junk it replaced. I also no longer have to worry about constantly having my RV powered and batteries ready, and (and that's a big plus) it delivers a very clean DC output, which is important when using multiple types of batteries want direct voltage to on-board devices such as a television. If you really want to take full advantage of it in any RV or boat with aโ€ฆ

Easy replacement for Parallax/Magnetek

The original Magnetek 6336 power converter in my 2000 Tioga RV has failed. A little online research showed that replacing the Progressive Dynamics PD4635 was the solution. The device arrived quickly and my wife and I decided to approach the installation as a collaborative project - she was the reader of the manual and I was the user of the tool. The step-by-step instructions were clear enough - first remove the old block, then install the new block. The main task is to disconnect and reconnectโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Firstly it comes with a PCB which is a power distribution board. I installed this device about 4 or 5 months ago. . I used this to upgrade the charger in our 1992 Ford Econoline van with Turtle Top RV conversion. The exchange with the old block was correct. That was excellent. Directions "mostly" completed. There are several different outlets on the power distribution board that are slightly "staggered" from the others. I had to search the web a bit to verify what/why this is. A little moreโ€ฆ
