No longer works with device

Never opened and closed smoothly, over time the situation got worse until after several months of use in a warm climate and weatherproof I could no longer open with a key.

Very cheap - do not buy

One of the keys broke while turning the lock while I was holding it. Very cheap design, I can't trust this lock even if I dig up the broken part of the key. Do not buy this brand!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Minor issues

Is this a high quality disc lock?

I used to have a similar disc lock. This one doesn't seem that strong. There is a gap in the seam and when the latch is closed there is a large "play". My old lock had no gap in the seam and there was very little play when the latch was closed. Aside from those two issues, the lock seems secure.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Compatibility

Meanest five star review I've ever given

This lock was too effective. It was the thickest lock that would fit in my barn door lock. Very happy with them all three days. The thief respected this lock so much that it was easier for him to break the doorplate to which it was attached. So instead of replacing the $10 lock (and all my stolen stuff) I need to replace the lock, all my cr4ps and my barn door. shot

Pros
  • Absolutely fantastic!
Cons
  • Useless functions

Rusted less than a month but still stainless steel.

They say the lock is made of "stainless steel" but it clearly isn't. I've had the lock for less than a month and a week ago it started having trouble closing. Just today it completely failed and the key was stuck. The only way I could turn the key to remove it was by tapping on the right side of the lock where the mechanism started to turn. After the final inspection, the lock was clearly rusted.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing

It's easy to get around

This castle is full of junk. You can bypass the castle without any skills. The key core has no backing (note the small hole on the back? You can poke something through the entire core of the keyhole and backing). lock and apply pressure to the bracket drive. Check out my posted video - NO EXPLOSION. Just a pull and a pick that slid all the way back and hit the strut drive.

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Good lock BUT it will be difficult to copy the key!

So I bought two of these padlocks and they look like standard disc locks and look decent. BUT. I went to have more copies made by a conscientious locksmith with years of experience and she told me that since they are made in China they need a special blank to copy. She managed to make 4 copies of the same lock and they all worked great. She then tried to make 4 copies for the 2nd lock. Copies sometimes worked, sometimes not for testing, then all together stopped working. The keys that came with

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • Damaged

At first I had high hopes. It seems at least better built than the Master M40XD. It weighs 1.76 ounces less than my old Abus #24. The main problem is that all three keys work, once you hit the cylinder they are very tight. Also, I don't see any grease marks, they don't seem to grease these locks and yes, they are made in China just like the Master lock. At least the keys move in and out of the master lock easily and the deadbolt moves freely. With this new lock, the deadbolt moves slightly once

Pros
  • Padlocks and latches
Cons
  • Long delivery time
