Don't waste your money

The screws are of very poor quality and break very easily. It may be good for plastic, but no more. What a disappointment.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Nothing here

poor quality of fasteners

I unscrewed half a dozen heads during the break-in. Very brittle. I have noticed that they rust very quickly. You just can't get anything decent anymore.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • reliability

Button rivets work best for fasteners with a choice of

come in a pack of 50 I only had to replace 2 buttons on my pontoon boat for a cover. Who knows what I might use the rest for in the future, these things will come in handy.

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • I will add later

starts to rust within 3 weeks

When I put them on and replaced the old ones the boat looked great. It's been about 3 weeks and 70% of them are already rusting. Worse, my boat hasn't been out on the water since I installed them.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Very expensive

Used to restore VW Bus

So far so good. I use them to attach new interior panels for my VW bus. These bolts don't take much stress so I can't comment on their strength/durability but they look fine as long as the bolts aren't broken.

Pros
  • Snaps for boat covers, winter covers, awnings and tarpaulins
Cons
  • old

Weak and rusty for band fasteners

Screws are very brittle and will rust within 2 weeks. When I screwed them in, even after pre-drilling, if they hit something hard, they spun and broke in half. Then they rust within two weeks. If you buy them, do not use them in places where there is moisture. Very upset and disappointed.

Pros
  • Zinc plated steel screw with nickel plated steel latch for excellent protection against rust and corrosion
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Soft Strap Fastening Screws

This was my second order, the first had no problems, the second time the screws turned out to be of poorer quality. I had 2 latches out of 7, I had to drill from the other side of the old hole and mount it there. This batch had cheap non-stainless screws. I'll sort the rest, not worth risking the screws breaking.

Pros
  • Sold in packs of 50. - Order additional kits for large projects; End caps sold separately
Cons
  • Off fashion
