I wanted to make handprints/footprints on canvas for my little boy (1 month old) and I CREATED with non-toxic paint (smeared). After purchasing this pad, my happiness has improved phenomenally. Handprints are still difficult because babies WRITE! But my project turned out great! (Some stains on the bottom came from my baby's kicking, not the ink pad.) Before my baby was born I ordered some of these touchless ink pads, thinking they would be easier. They ruined everything, too bad they are disposable, that's why I bought this rug. Great! It's really easy to apply, the ink is on an elongated block or something so it's not difficult at all to cover her leg. And if I'm wrong, I can try again. I know some reviews say it dried up after 1 use. I don't know if it's mine or not, I only bought it for 1 use. I will say that removing this ink from my little ones hands was NOT as easy as it was made out to be. When I was done with that, pretty much everything was covered in pink ink. What I like about this product is that you can use it many times and I mean a lot. It gets messy, but worth it. I tried to print my 4 month old baby's hands, I tried film, it didn't work, I ruined his baby book with film. I think this works best with this stamp pad1.
