I had a bad waxing experience

I used this on a piece of furniture that I painted with Annie Sloan white chalk paint. I've had bad experiences with waxing, so I've been looking for a long time for a sealer that doesn't yellow on white paint and is passable. This material does not yellow and is scratch resistant after three coats application and can be easily washed off with liquids. This will definitely be my choice for future projects! And don't let the size fool you. A little goes a long way if you use it right.

Amazing product. for paint, wall care products and accessories

This varathane is a new favourite. I renovated a large dining table and used this product to finish the top after sanding and painting. I used a disposable foam brush to apply and the strokes "melted" into each other leaving no lines. It was so easy to use that I ended up applying five coats to allow drying time between coats. I have been assembling and repairing furniture for many years and now this is probably my favorite product. It's amazing to achieve this satin finish with a fragrance…

Consistently, white ends with yellow. NOT crystal clear.

When I first applied this product I really liked it over my white chalk paint on my kitchen cabinets. I cleaned them and then sanded them down. Then I applied semi-gloss white chalk paint, several coats. I then followed all the directions to apply this resin to the dry painted cabinets. I thought everything was fine, but then they immediately started turning yellow. I then had to repaint the yellow spots and add more poly. I thought it was working but after a few weeks all the cabinets start…

Works well good for paint, wall treatments and accessories

I became a fan of protecting my painting projects so I started using urethane to cover just about everything - inside and out. The downside for me though was the oil based urethane which stinks. When I discovered this water based product I decided to give it a try. Pros: 1. It is water based so you can easily clean your brushes.2. It has a very low odor so I don't have to take things outside to cover them.3. It gets a little blurry but becomes clear quickly. Cons: 1. It's quite expensive for…

May not be suitable for use in dry climates, will not level

I bought this to use on a simple, no-fuss project in my workshop where the temperature there is kept at around 70 degrees while I work becomes. Here in the Arizona desert, winters are relatively mild and humidity remains fairly low. However, I reduce my open glass and working hours as much as possible. I used a new foam brush to apply this to a new smooth Baltic birch plywood coated with two coats of a quality water based top coat finish and dried well, prepared with a white 0000 pad laid…
