The fiberglass shaft does not straighten up!

This brush does not go through a straight tube to clean it. The fiberglass shaft is SUPER stiff and doesn't align. It is ALWAYS in the 14 inch circle shown in the picture. I should have listened to other reviews mentioning this but I was in a hurry. The brush is unscrewed so if you have a straight shank or want to make a 1/4 x 20 threaded stud this will work.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Guard

Couldn't even stand a cleaning, broke when inserted into the tube.

The product didn't even survive a cleaning. The brush is wound so tightly that if you try to unfold and use the cleaning brush, it will come loose. Disappointing to say the least. Luckily it broke in my hand and not the vent. Instead of a 10 foot line, I now have a 6 foot length. Save money, buy something else. On the plus side, the brush head fits snugly into the 3-inch pellet opening.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Crumpled

Bake in the oven, well, sort of.

But seriously. This product comes in its original packaging as shown in the product photos. The problem is that the loops formed during packaging cannot be straightened out without risking breaking the plastic rod. Easy fix: Just flick this preheated oven at about 150 degrees for about 10 seconds. Keep checking it as it won't take long to solve. After it bends slightly, lay everything out in a straight line and let cool. Within 10-15 minutes it hardens again, only straight this time, but still…

Pros
  • Not cheap, but neat
Cons
  • Requires socket

OK, not great. best of brushes

Due to the fact that it's cheap it worked but not immediately after purchase. Will use again, will not buy again. As soon as I unbox it, I notice that it's a plastic stick with a zipper that keeps its curved shape. You need to put it in the oven, straighten it by attaching it to something long and straight to get the straight shape needed for a straight flue/chimney like me. It was bent in such a way that it did not fit more than 30 cm down the chimney. Once I got the straight line I needed I…

  • 3 inch polyester brush attached to 10ft flexible handle
Cons
  • Doubtful

This vent cleaning tool

Calling a 10ft plastic rod a handle is misleading. Products are often manufactured in China and other countries whose English translators do not have the language skills to correctly write advertising texts or educational materials in English. I thought the product came with a 10ft shaft with an actual grip on the end. . It's nearly impossible to twist a 10-foot shaft in a metal opening without an actual knob on the end. Using a drill is pointless unless the shaft is more than 15 inches out of…

Pros
  • effortlessly cleans dryer vents and pellet stove pipes
Cons
  • crumples

Works well with limitations after some adjustments

The cord looks like a strong semi-rigid PVC profile. The brush is screwed onto a corrugated metal tip. There are a few things I had to do to use it to remove a straight carbide channel running in a finished wall. First apply a drop of red Loctite to the strands of the brush. This will prevent the head from detaching from the line and being pinched in the duct. I see no practical reason to remove the brush from the line. Second, and this will take some time and effort, the line needs to be…

Pros
  • Soft bristles won't damage or scratch the tubes
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
