Review on Rutland 3 Inch Pellet 10 Feet Handle by Walter Velasquez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bake in the oven, well, sort of.

But seriously. This product comes in its original packaging as shown in the product photos. The problem is that the loops formed during packaging cannot be straightened out without risking breaking the plastic rod. Easy fix: Just flick this preheated oven at about 150 degrees for about 10 seconds. Keep checking it as it won't take long to solve. After it bends slightly, lay everything out in a straight line and let cool. Within 10-15 minutes it hardens again, only straight this time, but still bending to work its way through corners in the chimney. This product does an excellent job of removing accumulated soot from duravent pro sections. It easily overcomes angles of 45 degrees. Ninety-degree angles require unconvincing maneuvering, but eventually they make turns. After about 20 strokes up and down the 8 foot pipe I got a significant amount of soot. I never thought that so much ash has accumulated! I recommend this product for a 3 inch pellet stove pipe. The bristles easily grab the pipe and do an excellent job of loosening the ash on the chimney walls. It is not intended for use with a cordless drill. But it works just as well by hand. Hope this review helps! yeah
