Satisfactory product quality, good price.

The firmware from the factory is CV11, but on 01/05/2022 a new firmware CV12 was released The firmware is ated not by a semi-automatic device, but by "hands". We open the page , enter the serial number of the disk (on the disk label or programmatically, for example, in CrystalDiskInfo) and in response we will receive offer to download the archive for ating the firmware (screenshot attached). Despite the fact that "v11" is written, CV12 is downloaded ( Skyhawk-V11-3TB-6TB-SATA-CV12. Zip )…

NOT WORKING ON ARRIVAL - IT WILL NOT ROTATE IN NVR

3TB Video Surveillance Hard Drive Defective on arrival. Stuck in NVR RLN4-211W-S, won't rotate. Runs but doesn't quit, crashes. The NVR does not recognize the hard drive, the display does not show that it is active.

I should have bought a product with a higher speed (7500) it was 5500rpm faster better than 5500 it worked fine although my oversight.

Excellent hard drive replacement for Night Owl DVRs!

These are quiet drives, especially compared to the Toshiba hard drives that come with new units. Does not come with pre-existing bad sectors. Faster and clearer playback mode.

Well done, but I won't buy any more.

In general, this is the second disc of this series, the first and completely similar died for reasons beyond his control. (Mechanical damage. And yes, there were TWO pancakes in it). Great value for money, one of the best offers.

The disk in the Apple TimeCapsule was dead and had to be replaced. I put this one, almost got into the native rubber bands of the capsule (who knows, there is also a barracuda, but the other one and the rubber bands do not fit WD, you need to cut it with a knife). It has been spinning in a time capsule for a couple of months 24/7, while the flight is normal. A year will pass - I'll unsubscribe again.

5 cameras are connected to one such disk and there are no freezes during simultaneous recording and playback. There is some noise, but the drive is not in a home computer, so this noise does not bother anyone at all. Now I'm already thinking about taking such a skyhawk with a large volume, because. dopcamera need to be connected. This drive is designed to connect up to 64 cameras, but the memory will fill up very quickly, so you need either a larger one or another one of the same.
