Description of Setter 70 1153 Black Exhaust Header

Plasma cut, CNC-machined, 3/8 in. thick head flanges. Increased flow with low restrictions. 16-gauge mandrel-bent mild steel tubing. Each tube enters the collector in proper firing order to maximize scavenging. Port matching during the initial design maximizes the available area for exhaust flow reducing back pressure.

Bought for a Corolla and they didn't even fit.

Bought for my Corolla and it didn't even fit. It is clearly written that they are compatible with the 4af engine, but they are not.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Otherwise I'm happy with the manifolds

These manifolds definitely help with acceleration at high rpm but they rattle in my car when I hit 3000rpm and above. Otherwise, I'm happy with the headlines.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Sad package

Not satisfied with return policy

You entered the title incorrectly for use on a 1987 Toyota Corolla GTS FX16 with 4AGE engine. The part I received did NOT match the engine and after some research I found out the title was for a 1987 Toyota Corolla with a 1.6 liter 2bbl engine. Not happy with the return policy as it was their fault the part I received was unusable.

good collector, garbage color and seal

fits perfectly. The gasket that comes with the sensor and the collector itself, like cardboard, broke immediately and flowed onto me. I just bought a better exhaust pipe gasket at a parts store and replaced it. never mind. Also, no matter how hard you tried to fix the paint, the paint peeled off immediately, allowing the machine to run for a short time. The drain pipe fits perfectly and all measurements given in the description are correct. not rusty yet!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The list will be long.

That little header is cute! It matches both charm and performance.

This little header is good! It fits like a charm and the performance benefits exceed my expectations. Not 10-12 hp like the guy said. Probably somewhere around 2hp, but maybe 4hp if you have a free exhaust and good intake. The header really shines above 3500 rpm, which makes sense since it's a 4-1 header. Yes, the color is rubbish. Yes, I used my own pads. Tip: Don't use the spacer they give you for attaching the drain pipe to the cat. Use the o-ring seal that originally came with these…

Doesn't fit exactly! in Manifolds

I installed this manifold on my 90 Corolla with 4afe engine and the intermediate pipe that goes from the manifold to the catalytic converter is rubbing the subframe and the bottom of the car. The header fits well, but the intermediate pipe that comes with it is not the right size. I also had to carve out the connector for the O2 sensor because it wouldn't go in because there was weld slag in the hole. You paint it with high temperature paint, otherwise it won't stick, just a little tip. Well…

Good Heading for Aftermarket

Be prepared to apply either HVT Heat paint or thermal film if you want them to look good. Boxing voids some warranties, is said to rust where it's put, and metal degrades faster than normal wear and tear. Also, it's pretty easy to install. Use a penetrating lube on all of the bolts before attempting this job, it will save you a lot of swearing and bloody joints. Assemble the counterflange from bottom to top, it goes in there with a simple shake. Also order new gaskets, the included gaskets are…
