Not worth the frustration

My analysis of this computer internal component showed that the Ethernet connection was inconsistent and the installation process was needlessly difficult. The only positive aspect was the high-speed data transfer when it did work. However, the cons greatly outweighed this minor pro. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly upgrade to their computer.

Pros
  • Easy installation process and seamless integration with various devices.
Cons
  • Requires an available PCI-E slot on the motherboard, limiting the compatibility with some systems.

My PC's built-in network connection wasn't working; I had an external 4-port USB dangling from the back of the computer; it was the perfect choice for me. Office Depot overpriced Revain by $10, so I settled on Revain. The physical setup was pretty simple. I had a SATA power connector, so I plugged it in. ADVICE FOR PROFESSIONALS. The way the ports face up and down instead of sideways means the card can be moved so the ports don't match. I had to open the case, adjust the card a bit, connect the

  • UASP support
Cons
  • Some little things

This is a really excellent card. I replaced the Intel Gigabit CT desktop adapter card, which only provided an RJ-45 port, with StarTech because I needed powered USB 3.0 ports to get the new monitor and accompanying soundbar working. The card is powered by a SATA cable. It powers the card, which in turn powers the USB 3.0 ports at up to 900mA per port. I connected my monitor to one of the USB 3.0 ports with an upstream cable to power all the USB ports on the monitor. The soundbar connects to one
