I'm having problems with this product. It doesn't light up and my computer doesn't recognize the drive. I have an MSI PC with a Z390 A PRO motherboard. I don't have a 3 pin connector on the board. The JRGB1 slot on the board has 4 pins, so I can't use it. I have a 9-pin USB on the board and have tried using a different cable that came with the unit and I've had no success with that either. Is this device not compatible with my computer? Or do I need an external power supply? Please help someone

RBG lamp cable is faulty. Contacted the seller here, no response. Contacted TeamGroup through their website and was told to contact the motherboard manufacturer. Revain offered to return the product but it was the only drive on my newly built PC. Was hoping for a partial refund as I need the computer for work at school and didn't want to be without an SSD card for 2 weeks. Wouldn't recommend this brand and wouldn't buy again. This was my first SSD, I only had standard hard drives and nvme. I was looking for something new and bright. This great SSD had great reviews and was reasonably priced. I thought it would come with a SATA cable but there wasn't one so I'm waiting for it. I decided to just connect the regular L-shaped SATA my computer has and the RGB cable to prepare it. No complaints so far! Lice appearance, high speed, very smooth. The only annoying thing is that the logo is upside down according to the installation direction. Either you expose more wires by flipping it, or you keep the shorter cable as close as possible to the mobo sata connectors and the logo will be upside down and can't be flipped without voiding the warranty.

I like these, I have 4 1T, they work great, the LEDs look cool, I was worried about them because they aren't called Big Box but as soon as I lit them up have washed everything away. Con only, not really con, they should have a cable to connect the LEDs together if you use more than 1 drive. I bought a separate 5V DC controller, plugged all 4 in, then connected it to the motherboard.

I am currently using two of these in a non-RAID SATA 3 connection as databases for a custom build. 2TB isn't much for this feature, so a future upgrade will include larger hard drives as primary media storage, while SSDs allow for quick access to the media management system in Adobe Creative Cloud and possibly DaVinci Resolve as well.
