Torn after one wear

I bought a size 9-10 for my son who is 9 years old and wears size 2.5 shoes. He loved socks. I loved them too until he put them on. The socks tore when first worn. I thought, okay, maybe it was a tough day at camp. The next day, the next pair, the same. My son came home with torn socks. I would give 5 stars but since they ripped after wearing them once I'm giving 1 start. Don't waste money on them.

Pros
  • New and up
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Not heavy but ok

Some reviewers gave these socks a bad rating due to the thinness of the material, but that's why my son loves these socks. They're thick enough to keep you warm and wick sweat, but not so thick that your shoes are too tight. Good weight for spring, summer and fall. Maybe too thin for winter on a very cold day. The stitched area on the toes is also nice and flat, which makes it more comfortable to wear in shoes.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

This is the only brand I buy

(Except for some special items like super warm socks for winter boots when I go to REI.) I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. My fingers are often stiff and sore. These are the only socks I've found that 1) was easy for my child to put on while he was learning and now (at almost 4) he is very easy to put on himself and 2) stay put. The other brand I tried either had some trouble getting dressed for one or the other or, to put it simply, didn't hold or fit well.

Pros
  • Clothing, shoes and jewelry
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
