TEMCo 30 AWG Copper Magnet Wire - 2 oz 392 ft, 155°C Solenoid, Red

TEMCo 30 AWG Copper Magnet Wire - 2 oz 392 ft, 155°C Solenoid RedI ordered this roll of magnet wire Try an LED lighting project that burns out the fairy lights you often see on sale these days. That will work, but the smallest LEDs I found were different than those I've seen in the other lighting mentioned. I like the wire, it's very small and I might have to increase it by one or three to get as many tiny LEDs as I want.

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • So far so good

Good material for speaker cable

I use this as speaker cable for my 5 channel system running from Denon AVR to Elac Debut 2.0 speakers. Sounds damn great! I just cut 2 pieces for the channel and turned them 1.5-2 inches per revolution. Strip the insulation off the ends with a knife and sandpaper and voila, the cable. It's a little bland, but I doubt you'll find speaker cable that sounds just as good for less than $1,000 for an 8-foot pair. I discovered anti-cable many years ago and the original version is basically magnet…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Ideal for all kinds of home science projects.

Excellent for making electromagnets. I made a linear motor by wrapping a wire around a small glass tube with some small round magnets stacked inside. It is powered by eight AAA (12V) batteries connected in series. Plugging in power causes the batteries to shoot from end to end. Exactly what I needed in my project to convert an old mechanical cuckoo clock to electricity. The cuckoo's mechanical mechanisms are failing due to dust and pet hair in my house. Replacement movements are ridiculously…

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Without machine
