🌊 Coastal White Cotton Queen Blanket by Tommy Bahama Review

This is a beautiful, well made blanket which is why I give it 4 stars. BUT I didn't find it to be a light duvet, more like a medium or heavy duvet. It seemed too heavy for the summer in the south. Also, it faded a lot after the first wash. So much so that nothing else should be washed with it.

Pretty but will shrink in the wash. Washable according to instructions. I've never seen so much fluff and lint come off the things I've ever washed. It took over 20 minutes to clean the washing machine and had to shake it many times while drying. I also cleaned the dryer and dryer filter several times. None of this made me happy. However, it is a soft and comfortable duvet and I love the color of it.

I am pleased with this duvet for my king bed. It's warm for its intended purpose and I've washed and dried it a few times without sacrificing comfort, warmth, color etc. I have two cats with claws and while they don't scratch they will walk on it. , played and curled up effortlessly on this blanket. It was a decent price, seems durable, attractive and provides the warmth I wanted. Good buy and would buy again.

When we received the blanket we thought it was just what we needed. The color was beautiful and the weight was perfect for our climate. But after two days the realization came. Due to the weaving, it does not adhere well. Now, three weeks later, loose threads are hanging from it in almost all areas. Not what we were hoping for from a well known brand like Tommy Bahama. Now we are looking again for a good lightweight blanket that is less prone to snagging.

See title. I was shocked by the cold linen upon arrival. The cotton spill was more than meets the eye. Almost ruined my washer and dryer. I had to clean the dryer filter every 10 minutes! VERY BAD PRODUCT! I've had two big disappointments from Tommy Bahamas in a row. A duvet that is too small for a large double bed, then a duvet that I spent two days trying to wash and dry without damaging my gear!

I received this gray duvet for a king size bed about 2 years ago. It holds up well, but only if I dry it on low heat and take it out of the dryer while still damp. Then me and another person have to pull on each side to stretch the width. If your comforter has shrunk, try this and it might bring it back to its normal size. It hurts a bit, of course, but it's cotton. Therefore, shrinkage is to be expected if placed in a dryer and dried normally. It would be nice if they made it a little bigger…

I was so happy to order these, it was exactly the material and color I wanted. This blanket was exactly what I expected. This is a lightweight cotton duvet that is breathable. I wanted to reduce sweating while sleeping this summer. I was pretty comfortable with it. I prefer the top sheet between me and the comforter because it's a bit rough for my liking. I bought a white and gray TB blanket based on reviews and recommendations from friends. If you have a mattress that is over 14 inches deep, you will need to purchase a size larger due to shrinkage (king-size mattress buyers will need to consider another alternative).
