Works perfectly! - Horses

This worked quickly and effectively to remove horsefly eggs from my mini horses. It just took a little pressure and a good angle to remove the eggs. The minis weren't scared and actually stopped as it looked like they were being taken care of. It worked great on her feet and in tight turns.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Incredible Piggy Bank

A LARGE! fits Farrier Supplies

I bought a 19 year old QH who was a pasture brood mare. She was COVERED from hooves to neck in bot eggs. With this product I was able to easily remove them all in a while and she loved it - she must have thought I would pet her for an hour :) Highly recommend this bot remover knife!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Simple and practical: Farrier accessories

Allows you to quickly rid your feet of bot eggs. If that doesn't work, just adjust the angle and things will go better. Good value for money. And your public announcement for today: Don't forget a quality deworming program! You can scrape them off your feet so many times, but without deworming and manure de-worming you're just wasting your time.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Weight

Simple, but absolutely functional

This is a cheap bot knife but it WORKS. I prefer the higher quality wooden grip option, but because I was in a hurry and my local store was out of gear, I bought this cheap one (delivered within two days with Revain Prime). It's nice, big and does the job. If you scratch bot eggs and find that the eggs stick no matter how much you scratch, it's because you're not tilting the blade properly. Scratching more will not help - it will only harm your horse. Try tilting the blade 10 degrees, then 20…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
