Hit him! Or below I think.

I compared several fastener driving tools. I have several Klien tools, so this was my first choice. I compared it to the Klien version and read numerous reviews. Several reviews said it was a Klien clone. I've used mine many times and haven't had any problems so far. The tool punches through the conductor and trims the excess wire and all my connections have been checked so it does what it was designed to do. Adjusting the downstroke is easy with the thumbscrew. Klien can surpass them in…

Great tool, works perfectly

I was adding network jacks throughout my house and needed these to run Cat 6 cables through the jacks and patch panel. It worked great and only took a few minutes to get used to. It's held up great and did a great job considering I've had to use it over 100 times. I installed 4 Monoprice Surface Mount Box Cat6, Double (107093) connectors throughout the house (8 lengths of Cat 6 cable in total) and routed those cables to a Cable Matters 12-port 89D-mount mini vertical patch panel in the…

Still working after multiple network installs!

My team and I just finished installing a 30,000 square foot network. Cable routing, branching and termination of all ends in the wiring closet and in the walls. When you're looking for a quality die cutting tool, you want it to be well built, punch well, and have the cutter get the job done. There's nothing more annoying than trying to cut a cord and the cutter won't get the job done leaving the ends frayed and not falling off. If you've done this kind of work then you know what I'm talking…

Pros
  • MULTIPLE USES: Punching tool for inserting and cutting Cat6a, Cat6, Cat5, Cat5 network cable terminations in one easy operation. Installing cables in a phone jack, Cat5e faceplate, or patch panel
Cons
  • Some small things

Nice, cheaper version of the Fluke piercer

I usually use the Harris (now Fluke) D- 814 I'm over 20 years old so my review is based on experience with a higher quality tool. Sometimes I need a second hit or don't have a Harris/Fluke with me, so I decided to try TRENDnet. Along with Harris/Fluke, it's clear that TRENDnet has copied the proven Fluke. design very carefully. Plastic is lighter and feels less dense. The handles/wheels are hollow, not solid. The springs for shock absorber adjustment and blade storage are not as tight as with…

Pros
  • PRECISION REPLACEMENT AND DOUBLE-EDGE KNIVES: Precision piercer blades are conveniently interchangeable and interchangeable between 110 and Krone standards
Cons
  • Out of fashion
