The specific model sent me a rock door.

A specific model that was sent to me allows the door to move from side to side. It wasn't made exactly square. Full function is to hold or study the bow while you work on it.

Pros
  • Simple design and functionality, quick to set up and easy to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

I'm glad I made it more compact and lasts.

I made my own in 2x4 but after seeing these online I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, it's more compact and takes up less space but keeps my shop doors in place with no issues.

Pros
  • Great for milling and sanding

You can get fairly stable support from low-height vertical bars.

Decent value for money when you need it. Definitely fairly stable laterally (side-to-side), not too much front-to-back, but that seems to be the norm for this style support (there are a few others that are very similar, like the similar offering from Northern and the wooden version of Templaco). Wooden version by Templaco. For the more frugal or those who prefer metal over wood, this is a worthy option. Also takes up less space than the wooden version of Templaco. I personally prefer Templaco's

Pros

Cons
  • Very expensive
