Great for use with stepper motors

Works great and turns very hard for use with stepper motors. Parts subject to cyclic fatigue are made from steel rather than aluminum and should offer longer life than helical cut versions.

  • So far so good

Quality buy

The best for the price. I can't say enough good things about these clutches. Zero backlash on my Interrapid gauge and I can't see a single tenth of a backlash on any of my axles. It should also be noted that these are fairly strong clutches for their class.

Rugged coupler for higher torque applications

I installed several of these 10-14mm couplers to attach NEMA34 stepper motors to my 4" x 4" CNC router. I've used smaller screw couplings with NEMA23 stepper motors and could twist/damage them if the axis stalled. They hold up well - even when the axle hits the stops (during testing). I was a bit concerned that they don't have set screws that tighten on the shaft - rather, a screw on each end tightens a ring around the appropriate shaft. So far no problems.
