Secure for basic privacy, not anti-theft

Many people here have complained that it's unreliable and fails to deter anyone who wants to hack it. However, for simple privacy needs, it works great. My wife and I use this to store things, we don't want anyone tripping over it. We don't expect anyone to pick up a hammer, and latches and bolts keep the crate closed unless you try to use force. However, if someone would use force to open this box in my house, I would be more concerned about why they are doing it than the structural integrity…

Perfect for kids to hide treasures from siblings!

A few years ago I gave my nephews combined pencil cases for Christmas and they fell over! They keep money, candy, and other treasures that they don't want their siblings to touch. I know you will be amazed when you see these great ones. It's an easy way to take your laptop or Xbox and accessories with you or slide them under your bed. Granted, this is a low-security option that won't deter true thieves, but you'll know if college roommates or younger brothers are meddling. Be firm - I forgot…

Received two defective ones

I bought one for personal belongings and one side was slightly dented. When you close it it doesn't seem like a huge issue, but the gap where the top and bottom chrome edges are supposed to meet doesn't really match, so there's a small gap. You can press further on the side and stick your finger in there. I haven't tried it, but I'm sure that because of this gap, you could easily access the content without any knowledge or tools. Revain sent a replacement for an exchange. And I looked at the…

Do not buy - cannot be opened after 2 weeks of use!

When the product first arrived he thought it was great. It came with a cord and we installed the combination on both sides of the safe following the instructions. I bought a safe for my daughter to use in my dorm to lock her valuables. After using the safe for 2 weeks, she successfully opened it yesterday 9/4/18 afternoon. Later that evening she tried again to open the safe but was only able to open one side. The combination was the same on both sides. I went to the manufacturer's website and…

Cheap flimsy locks

I definitely never write reviews for Revain but this product sucks. I've had it for just under a week or so, and yesterday one of the combos stopped working (having previously worked fine), so apparently the latch wasn't opening. Having bought this for essential home security I am of course distraught. I had to open and break it because it contains both my medication and my child's and of course we need them. But I requested an exchange and tried to get it working with just one lock. Well today

It's really good for what it's designed for

First of all, it's not a safe. It's just a box with a combination lock designed to deter the curious. It will do nothing against a determined bidder and the label will remind you before using it to store your bullion bars. This is sold as an under-bed mount, comes with a cord that usually costs extra so you can attach it to a fixed object, and is for students to discourage nosy neighbors. I wish I had had this when I was in college. I already have one in a different file-oriented configuration;
