Very cool fanless case for work

Now I've bought 6 of these as they run about 7 degrees cooler (about 40 vs 47 degrees C) than the fanless armored case I compared to have a similarly configured and loaded 4G Pi 4. Very nice packaging and fit. 5 of them came with a Pi and power supply, and they were all packaged nicely. Two small details: the case comes with nice hemispherical self-adhesive rubber feet. One of my kits had the rubber feet cut out wrong and couldn't be used - luckily I had alternatives. Another thing is that…

A nice case won't cool the device properly without a heatsink interface

Update: This case was too nice to send back , so I canceled the return and applied 3rd party thermally conductive silicone pads to the chips and case in the locations indicated in the documentation. After assembly, the case cools the components much better. --------- This case did not deliver the claimed cooling without the use of "extra" thermal paste. The device still reaches "gas" temperature within five minutes under load. Maybe lube would work better, but that would be very messy on a…

Solid, quiet and dissipates heat.

I bought this case knowing what to expect as I already own 3 similar cases from 2 other vendors. This particular case might be the best of the three (but the others are good and I'm still happy with them). I lightly sanded the part that comes in contact with the shavings to expose the aluminum and I used an Artic cut. measure up. I'm not sure I need this, but it made the contacts flat and smooth. No problem installing a case with a Raspberry Pi inside. When the system boots up, the case gets…
