The installation instructions were partially miserable. Two people are required to install this unit and this should have been clearer in the instructions. Dowels designed for drywall aren't really suited for something that heavy in most drywall jobs, I suggest replacing them with something more commercial.

The instructions may seem general, they don't really help, but if you know at least something about how to hang on a wall or on shelves, you'll be fine. Didn't match my rivets. It's easy to get the glass out of the slot, so make sure to use double-sided tape. Or like that to the store and take class A stuff. Looks very neat/clean. All worth buying. Let's hope my wife likes the memorial I made for her uncle. Looks cluttered, can take away some shapes.

The instructions show all the weird hardware BUT there are 2 weird curved round discs that aren't mentioned anywhere. I can't tell from the instructions if double sided tape is supposed to be regular material or if it's a thicker version. However, I am sure that it is necessary for the installation.

I am very happy with the quality of the shelves. If you're thinking of using them for a bar, they work really well. Concerned about the strength of the glass shelves, I searched endlessly for the right one and stumbled upon these. I don't regret my purchase one bit. Most cane glass shelves are supported by at least two of the four edges where there is only one edge, however there are four screw holes on the bracket so you can actually make it strong enough if they are all installed correctly…

I love the design of these floating shelves. A very good quality. I installed three 4" and two 2" models. I figured out the installation process on the third one as the instructions aren't very detailed. (Minus half a star) I drilled holes in the bracket to put two screws in the wall plugs. I agree with other reviewers that it's advisable to omit the supplied wall anchors and use your own. pre-drilled hole. Then, after installation, only one of the screws is actually tightly screwed into the dowels, the others not screwed all the way in, and then just twist the dowels into the wall! I had to remove the shelf, ripping out the wall anchors, which left holes larger than the wall anchors we had in our personal stash.
