Fast, fast is all I can say

Easy to install and very fast drive. No hard drive motor noise and no heat. Pretty much a plug-in-play setup with Windows 10. I've always been happy with WD products. The next purchase will be a 2TB drive.

Pros
  • Sequential write speed (up to): 530 MB/s.
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

What it should be and what to do

This is as advertised. 1TB and easy to install. I cloned an 80GB SSD on it and finally everything went fine. Win 10, 3 partitions. System, primary (C), and recovery partitions. I cloned it and got 900GB unallocated space. I had to remove recovery partition (3rd) to expand C drive into unallocated space, otherwise it wouldn't boot. After removing P3, I slightly expanded C drive and made room for recovery partition, which I will try to clone to unallocated space. As it is now, it boots up and…

Pros
  • Interface: SATA (6GB/s).
Cons
  • It worries me

I cloned it and got 900GB unallocated space. I had to remove recovery partition (3rd) to expand C drive into unallocated space, otherwise it wouldn't boot. SSD "Hard Drive " scored best in the Computers & Accessories category

This product seemed reliable, but after less than 12 months this drive no longer showed up in my drive list. Yes, I tried restarting the computer where all other hard drives show up fine. The only difference between this drive and any other is the brand and the fact that it is a SATA drive. I expected good performance from this drive. Luckily I had all the data on the backup disk system a week ago.

Pros
  • Computers & Accessories
Cons
  • Some issues
