High quality, great price

Received a Yost M10WW woodworking quick-release vise on Friday with intentions of installing it on Saturday when my son comes home from college. this is work for two people the vise is a beast i unpacked the vise and it was very well made, no burrs, everything aligned well, the screw was well lubricated and the finish was clean longer than it should be i called yost on Saturday morning and spoke to a very friendly gentleman, I explained the situation and he said they are running around with a…

Great vise for the money

I have a 10" vise and they are certainly beefy. I would like to add because I saw another review about it: These vises are designed so the jaws are not parallel, this is not a defect of the vise. Once installed, fitted with the maple chops and set up correctly, everything turned out exactly as I expected. Not the best quality, but not the worst either. Good middle of the road. I disassembled the vise to install it on my workbench, otherwise it would take 2 people. rods and screws. The screw…

Great vise. Requires gentle TLC

I bought a large 10" vise which was cheaper than a 9" vise at the time. I'm very happy with it so far. It is very heavy (40 kg). The do-it-yourself installation under the workbench in the back is a little tricky, but it can be done with some clamps to temporarily hold it in place. I noticed that the edges of the casting are a little rough and sharp, so before installing I took a file to round them off and prevent skin cutting. The vise works well.
